Valle Verde winger Alexis Ledoux, who was named to Top Drawer Soccer’s Top 100 Players after his senior year at UC Santa Barbara, has signed with Cascades FC, the club announced today. The signing is pending league and federation approval.
Ledoux is the third player signing announced by Cascades FC and the first locally based player, establishing a pathway to the professional game for promising young footballers in the Eugene-Springfield area.
“Alexis is a crafty competitor with the ability to play different positions and help our attacking core with creating chances and finishing opportunities,” said Cascades FC head coach Darren Sawatzky. “He has won trophies and has been rewarded with accolades for his efforts. He, Dylan, and their daughter have made Eugene home and we are ecstatic to get him into our group for the upcoming USL League One season. Alexis is ingrained in our community through playing locally and coaching in the valley, and we know the fans at Civic Park will be energized when he buzzes up and down the park.”
Ledoux, who was born and raised in Saint-Étienne, France, is currently Valle Verde’s leading scorer during its fall 2026 campaign. He spent the 2025 season with FC Tucson in USL League Two, where he was second on the team with six goals in 12 appearances.
The former UC Santa Barbara Gauchos star was named the Big West Player of the Year and was ranked 43rd on Top Drawer Soccer’s Top 100 Players list after a 2024 campaign in which he scored 14 goals and added five assists. He bagged a brace on four occasions, and registered attacking returns in 10 of the 22 matches he started. He also earned All-Big West First Team honors for his efforts, the second time he was named to the all-conference team. In all, he finished his three-year UC Santa Barbara career with 19 goals and 10 assists.
Ledoux spent his freshman year at the University of Charleston, a Division II school in West Virginia. He scored eight goals and had five assists for the Golden Eagles, and led the team to the NCAA Division II National Championship Game. At the end of the season he was named First Team Division II All-American, First Team NCAA Division II All-Atlantic Region, and First Team All-Mountain East.
“Since coming to Eugene last year, this community has really taken me in,” said Ledoux. “Playing, coaching, and being part of the soccer culture here has made me feel like I belong to something bigger. Signing my first professional contract with Cascades FC makes this moment even more special, and I’m incredibly grateful to reach this milestone in a community that has already given me so much.”
