Dan O’Brien has been named vice president of partnerships for Sporting Cascades FC, SCFC president Dave Galas announced today.
“Dan comes to us with unmatched local connections in the greater Eugene/Springfield area,” said Galas. “We’re extremely excited to have him join the team and look forward to him helping build the legacy of Sporting Cascades FC with the best brands and companies in the region.”
O’Brien’s move comes after spending the past 15 years with KEZI-TV and KDRV-TV, most recently as director of sales. In 2010, O’Brien joined KEZI-TV as local sales manager, and moved to general sales manager in 2015. Mike Boring, Allen Media’s Regional Vice President and General Manager, saluted O’Brien’s service to KEZI and KDRV, and the stations’ marketing partners.
“I have known and worked with Dan for more than 30 years, and he puts his heart and soul into his work on behalf of his co-workers and clients,” said Boring. “The good news is that Dan will still be in Eugene, and we will all get to continue our friendship and cheer him on in his new career in professional soccer.”
O’Brien played soccer locally at South Eugene High School, and collegiately at Santa Clara University, and has been involved in the game most of his life.
